Israeli military says they have attacked Beirut

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Tuesday on X that they have confirmed that they have carried out an attack in Beirut, targeting the Hezbollah commander, who is responsible for recent attacks in the Golan Heights.

“The IDF targeted the commander responsible for killing children and killing many Israeli citizens in Beirut in Majdal Shams,” the message said.

Prior to this, multiple media reported that there was a major explosion near the Hezbollah Shura Council in Halet Freik around 7:40 p.m. local time. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said “Hezbollah has crossed the red line” minutes after the attack.
