Investing 0.54 billion to build, the sub-brand Senzhou's new factory has opened.
The new halal factory of the sub-brand located in Enstek, Negeri Sembilan officially opened, with the presence of the esteemed Sultan of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz, to officiate the ribbon-cutting.
In addition to Tuanku Muhriz, the dignitaries present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Datuk Seri Haji Razi, the Senior State Executive Councillor of Negeri Sembilan, and the Dutch Ambassador to Malaysia, Aart Jacobi.
The major shareholder of the sub-brand - Royal FrieslandCampina from the Netherlands, was represented by the CEO Jan Derck van Karnebeek, while the Managing Director of the sub-brand, Lian Jikawei, was also present at the ceremony.
The sub-brand announced through a press release that the company has invested a total of 0.540 billion Ringgit to build the new factory incorporating Industry 4.0 technology.
Lian Jikawei stated in the press release that after several years of work, this new factory will commence production within this year.
"We have collaborated with the central and state governments, including the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Invest Negeri Sembilan, and the Negeri Sembilan Islamic Religious Affairs Department (JHEAINS), ultimately achieving this historical milestone for our company."
She added that the significant investment of the company in Negeri Sembilan demonstrates its commitment to establishing a long-term public-private partnership, aiding in the improvement of the Malaysian dairy industry, especially in fresh milk production.
Lanji also stated that the new factory in Senzhou will become a key part of the global supply chain of Royal DSM.
"This also demonstrates DSM's confidence in the current and future economy and business opportunities in Malaysia."
