Italian iGenius announced the Nvidia DGX AI supercomputer equipped with the Grace Blackwell chip.
On Thursday, Italian AI start-up company iGenius announced Colosseum, one of the world's largest Nvidia DGX SuperPOD AI supercomputers powered by Nvidia Grace Blackwell Superchips.
"Using Colosseum, iGenius will build advanced AI applications for customers worldwide to support use cases in regulated industries such as financial services, health care, and the public sector," said a Nvidia spokesperson in an email to Seeking Alpha.
iGenius stated in Thursday's press release that this supercomputer features NVIDIA DGX GB200 system with thousands of NVIDIA Grace Blackwell Superchips designed for real-time exa-parameter inference and training.mentioned.
According to iGenius, Colosseum is also planned to be used for building advanced AI applications, including training open-source generative AI and large language models (LLM) with over 1 trillion parameters.
Colosseum is located in Europe and equipped with state-of-the-art liquid cooling system. The supercomputer is expected to deliver a computing performance of 115 exaflops, and iGenius added that all its power will be covered by Italy's renewable energy.
"We designed this supercomputer for use cases of unicorn companies worth over 1 billion dollars," said iGenius CEO, Uljan Sharka.
iGenius AI models, built using Nvidia's AI Enterprise software platform, Nemotron model, and NeMo framework, will be provided as Nvidia NIM microservices.
IGenius has stated that it plans to offer customers the option to deploy models and microservices as fully managed applications, including cloud-based or on-premises Nvidia accelerated computing, to meet industry and government regulations related to AI.
