Jefferies: CHINA LIT Buying TENCENT Assets Unleashes Synergies in Animation & Comics IP
$CHINA LIT (00772.HK)$spent RMB600 million to acquire the assets of the animation and comics platform of$TENCENT (00700.HK)$, its parent company, Jefferies issued a research report saying.
The deal is expected to further enlarge the content portfolio, talent resources and efficiency in IP development, and to unleash the synergies in animation and comics IP.
In addition, Jefferies believed that CHINA LIT's initiative to adapt 300 literature IP into comics/ animations over the next 3 years is making solid progress, with 260 of them expected to be completed ahead of schedule.
