Nvidia's 2024 AGM highlights: Pay packages and new AI market strategies
Views 5.4M Contents 2304

Hold on! Let's clear up the concern about Jensen Huang selling Nvidia shares.

Some people are worried that Nvidia's stock price might be dropping because Jensen Huang, the CEO, recently sold some shares. It's important to understand that executive share sales are a common occurrence, and they don't necessarily reflect a negative outlook on the company.
Here's what I found online: while Jensen Huang did sell some shares, he still holds a significant amount in Nvidia.
Personal holdings: 80.7 million shares
Trust accounts: 737 million shares (combined total of two trusts)
Partnership account: 49 million shares
This demonstrates that Jensen Huang remains a major investor in Nvidia, and his recent sale likely wasn't motivated by a lack of confidence in the company's future.

  • SUNSHINE16 : Anyone who was concerned about Jensen selling his shares and getting paid to work…. Should not be investors.

  • OceansWave : Typically when you work for a company that awards stock options as a form of bonus, u got to wait for the maturity date which typical range from 1 - 2 years or even more.. (used to work for MSFT which does the same)..

When the stock options is matured, you can sell or hold the stock options depending on what you like.. it is normal for insiders to cash out their bonuses.. especially when the maturity is due.. does not mean that if I am CEO I should not sell my stock options awarded to me.. it’s my bonus..

Not seeing any big concerns that insiders are selling, rather cashing out their bonus.. from a trader perspective, they will see its a concern because it affects their profit as they are not like investors who hold for the long term..

In short, just have your stop losses or mitigation plans like selling covered calls or protective put options if one is too concerned about the prices

  • 再世孔明 : Yup. He got so much shares he need to release back into the market.
Which CEO no sell their stocks…
But weak hands and forever low ballers is keep expecting the stock to drop.
Even if it drop to 80usd today, those low ballers will continue to wait for it to drop.
We just amass little by little and when the rocket takes off, we will be good. And those low ballers can smell the fumes

  • Dasw06 : CEO don’t get paid alot how to grow the company … look at Tsla .. after the compensation approved , stock price went to the moon

  • GoodjobguysOP : I want to clarify that I’m not dictating what people should think or do; I’m still new to this platform and learning. However, I hope everyone realizes that this isn’t monopoly money—it represents real-life savings and significant investments for many. Consider this: if someone shares something uninformed that causes someone to doubt their decisions, it could lead to substantial financial losses. While we should all conduct thorough research before investing, how many of us actually do so? Many investments are based on speculation, right? So, remember, we’re all here to profit if possible. If I earn money from stocks, it doesn’t mean I’ve taken yours. If I make $1000, you haven’t lost $1000; ideally, we’ve both gained. I hope this clarifies where I’m coming from.
