July 31, 2024 Day Trade Recap:
$NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$
- Realised loss from NVDA day trades: -$33,930 USD, post-market exited.
- Realised loss from NVDA day trades: -$33,930 USD, post-market exited.
Despite this setback, I'm still up about +40k USD for July 2024. Few significant day trade gains do help to elevate the ROI.
Mistakes Due to Fatigue from lack of sleep daily:
1. Accidentally clicked sell instead of buy to exit the short position, increased my short exposure out of my comfort level.
2. Hesitated to fix the losing position, hoping for a reversal.
3. Fell asleep with a large open position (kept nodding off), resulting in a significantly larger loss upon waking. LOL! I can get it back in just few day trades.
4. Earlier, July 30, prematurely exited a profitable long trade at $101.40, missing out on a potential huge gain.

protraderx OP : Today, Aug 1, 2024, a day after big day trading loss ever, NVDA dropped way below my shorted price. instead of a big loss, it would have been a big gain. This tells my price action reading was right all along about shorting NVDA. The only problem was I shorted too early and was hit my NVDA sympathy play to AMD yesterday.
Aug 1, 2024, $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ dropped to a low of 106+ overnight. $Intel (INTC.US)$ plunged 20% overnight. $NASDAQ (NASDAQ.US)$ plunged over 400 points.
My prediction came true.
