They are probably going to take a loss on the actual equipment in favor of prioritizing "de-identified" personal data they sell off to whoever wants to buy it while bullying people into thinking they don't have the rights Title 45 CFR Part 164.502 grants them 
I knew EHR's like epic were already pulling that, but devices to? jeez.
It is a far more sustainable business model though...... effectively aping subscription revenue, icky
