Kamala Harris tells pro-Palestinian protesters: “Now is the time for a cease-fire”
US Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris expressed her own position on the Gaza cease-fire last night in response to Palestinian pro-Palestinian demonstrators interrupting her speech while shouting “liberate Palestine.”
Harris, who spoke to the demonstrators in Arizona, said, “I've made it clear until now. Now is the time to establish a cease-fire agreement and establish a hostage agreement,” he said.
Mr. Harris further said, “The President and I have been working 24 hours a day to establish a cease-fire agreement and return the hostages to their home countries. So I respect everyone's voices, but we're here to discuss the 2024 election campaign,” he added.
This is the second time that Mr. Harris has interacted with pro-Palestinian demonstrators during an election campaign conducted over several days. At the rally held on Wednesday in Michigan, Mr. Harris seemed frustrated that demonstrators repeatedly interfered with speeches while shouting “We are not voting for mass murder.”
Mr. Harris finally answered: “Okay, if you want Donald Trump to win, say so. If not, I'll talk”.
