$Keppel (BN4.SG)$ The Indonesian Energy Market Regulatory Agency issued conditional licenses for five solar energy import projects, totaling 2 gigawatts, at the Second Indonesia Sustainable Development Forum held in Jakarta on Thursday, September 5th. These projects are expected to begin commercial operations in 2028.
The five solar energy projects are managed by Jibao Energy (0.3 GW) and EDP Renewables APAC (0.4 GW). There are also three companies, Vanda RE (0.3 GW), Adaro Solar International (0.4 GW), and Pacific Medco Solar (0.6 GW), which are formed by companies from Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
