Last quarter, the investor Charlie Munger calls the best of his generation made a big move: he bought $OXY.

Munger considers Li Lu of Himalaya Capital Management the top investor of his time. Rumor has it Munger wanted Li Lu to succeed him and Warren Buffett, but they couldn’t agree on compensation, so Li Lu chose to stay independent.

Li Lu is a true super-investor. His $2.6 billion U.S. portfolio holds just six stocks. He rarely trades, last quarter, his only move was buying Occidental Petroleum.
