Let profits run in 2024!

Today, we will be talking about one of my favorite strategies, which is letting profits run. ![]()
Mooers might be wondering what 'Let profits run' means. ![]()
It actually means to resist the tendency to sell profitable positions too early.
Let me quote a few examples of why Mooers should resist the tendency to sell early and to continue to let their profits run.
Mooers who purchased Bitcoin, $Bitcoin (BTC.CC)$ , on the first trading day of 2024 would have now sat on more than 60% gain. However, if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks ago, he would have gained more than 160%.
Notice that if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks earlier but sold on the first trading day of 2024, he would have missed out on an additional 60% gain.
Mooers who purchased Novo Nordisk, $Novo-Nordisk A/S (NVO.US)$ , on the first trading day of 2024 would have now sat on more than 35% gain. However, if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks ago, he would have gained more than 80%.
Notice that if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks earlier but sold on the first trading day of 2024, he would have missed out on an additional 35% gain.
Mooers who purchased the Magnificent Seven ETF, $Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF (MAGS.US)$ , on the first trading day of 2024 would have now sat on more than 25% gain. However, if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks ago, he would have gained more than 45%.
Notice that if Mooers had purchased it 52 weeks earlier but sold on the first trading day of 2024, he would have missed out on an additional 25% gain.
*The Magnificent Seven: $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ , $Meta Platforms (META.US)$ , $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ , $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$ , $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ , $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ .
Hmm... I wonder if Mooers sold their stocks too early or let profit run most of the time.
