Li Auto Rolls Out Next-Gen AD System with VLM Upgrade
Beijing-based automaker Li Auto has announced the nationwide rollout of its latest smart driving system, coupled with a Vehicle Learning Module (VLM) upgrade.
In a statement, the new energy vehicle (NEV) maker said the new generation aims to deliver a smoother driving experience for its customers including smoother lane changes, enhanced obstacle detection, and optimized parking capabilities.
Additionally, the company says the new version features AI-driven navigation and real-time learning for a superior driving experience.
To mark the launch of the upgraded system, Li Auto is offering users a chance to experience the enhanced capabilities firsthand during China's National Day holiday.
Access to test this new software from Li Auto will come in two batches before it becomes available for public usage.
This update will first be available to a "1,000-person experience group" and then to a "10,000-person experience group" for proper testing of the End-To-end And VLM software upgrade.
All Li Auto vehicles using the AD Max platform will have access to this software update and the cars are the Li Auto L6, L7, L8, L9, and MEGA.
The company has recently postponed the launch of its upcoming pure electric SUV following a significant redesign.
Li Auto delivered 48,122 vehicles in Aug representing an increase of 37.8% from a year ago for the new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer and the third consecutive month delivering over 47,000 units.
