Li Auto launched the Li L7 on Feb 8, 2023, which is its first five-seat SUV (sport utility vehicle) model. Prior to the Li L7, its Li L8 and Li L9 were six-seat models.

On Mar 1, Li Auto launched the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, which now has a starting price of RMB 529,800.
The Li L7 was a model that was almost canceled during development, Li Xiang, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said on Jun 18, 2023 on Weibo.
Li said at the time that he was quite determined about axing the model in Sep 2022, but several other executives stopped him.

In the second quarter, Li Auto delivered 108,581 vehicles, up 25.48% year-on-year and up 35.05% from the first quarter.
Deliveries for the quarter fell within the guidance range of between 105,000 and 110,000 vehicles provided by Li Auto when it announced its first quarter financial results on May 20.
At the end of Jun, Li Auto had accumulated 822,345 deliveries since its inception.
