Li Auto sees Li L7 deliveries exceed 200,000 units
Li Auto today announced that it has seen cumulative deliveries of the Li L7 surpass 200,000 units, 16 months after the model's launch.
Li Auto shared the milestone on its social media platforms today. The Li L7 is an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), the second least expensive of Li Auto's current product array.
Li Auto launched the Li L7 on Feb 8, 2023, which is its first five-seat SUV (sport utility vehicle) model. Prior to the Li L7, its Li L8 and Li L9 were six-seat models.
The 2024 Li L7 currently on sale is offered in three variants with starting prices of RMB 301,800 (USD41,520), RMB 329,800, and RMB 359,800 respectively.
Li Auto currently has four EREVs on sale, including the more expensive Li L8 and Li L9, and the least expensive Li L6 with a starting price of RMB 249,800.
On Mar 1, Li Auto launched the Li Mega MPV (multi-purpose vehicle), its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, which now has a starting price of RMB 529,800.
The Li L7 was a model that was almost canceled during development, Li Xiang, founder, chairman and CEO of Li Auto, said on Jun 18, 2023 on Weibo.
Li said at the time that he was quite determined about axing the model in Sep 2022, but several other executives stopped him.
Li Auto delivered 47,774 vehicles in Jun, up 46.66% year-on-year and up 36.42% from May, according to data released on Jul 1.
In the second quarter, Li Auto delivered 108,581 vehicles, up 25.48% year-on-year and up 35.05% from the first quarter.
Deliveries for the quarter fell within the guidance range of between 105,000 and 110,000 vehicles provided by Li Auto when it announced its first quarter financial results on May 20.
At the end of Jun, Li Auto had accumulated 822,345 deliveries since its inception.
