Don't keep averaging. If a stock keeps falling, your losses will become bigger and bigger. Only average at strong support levels. 0.60-0.61 is a strong support level. Have a stop loss strategy in place. Once price drops 10% from your buy price, cut loss. Don't keep holding if the price keeps dropping.

bullrider_21 OP Cui Nyonya Kueh : I think so.
DividendKopi : How do u identify support ?
bullrider_21 OP DividendKopi : You must be able to read a chart. A support is the level where the price rebounds. If the level is tested many times and the price rebounds each time, it's a strong support. If the level is tested a few times and the price breaks down, it's a weak support.
soyabean89 : this shitty etf was heavily culled by gov policy..
now because of high interest rate environment n trade tension on vital tech components...haiz ..
complicated
bullrider_21 OP soyabean89 : China now has low inflation and even deflation. So they can cut rates to stimulate their economy. For trade tensions, they can only respond tit-for-tat and try to be independent.
toomanyscammers : thx for this! learnt something abt avging in at strong support levels only. tq
toomanyscammers bullrider_21 OP : that's the thing I dun understand. us cut rates during COVID to stimulate the economy and stocks rallied. china is doin the same thing, but why ain't their stocks rallying?
toomanyscammers bullrider_21 OP : but if it's a strong support, doesn't it mean that it also holds the risk of not being able to incline upwards from there easily and may drop further too? would it be better to maybe enter at the initial movements of the recovery? urgh but identifying that is tough too.
bullrider_21 OP toomanyscammers : eg.
bullrider_21 OP toomanyscammers : Because they are perceived as not doing enough.
bullrider_21 OP toomanyscammers : You're right. Identifying initial movements of recovery are tough. Usually rebound at strong supports.
toomanyscammers bullrider_21 OP : as in, that's just one possibility of entering more safely?
toomanyscammers bullrider_21 OP : mmmmm and so the risk of economic difficulties still remain and hence investors are fearful?
bullrider_21 OP toomanyscammers : China has taken more and more measures to stimulate the economy. At some point, they will be enough. The property sector may take longer, the rest of the economy may start recovering next year.
