long term invest
Yo, I am a long term investor. altho I am losing quite a bit due to the fall in the mega tech stocks, I am willing to hold it and probably buy more and there is a sign of rebound for the stock.
I hope that my stock will go up eventually after maybe 5 years. cheers

104705796 : Technology will always advance. It is what defines modernity. Yes there will be short term fall but not forever or else we'll revert back to Medieval or Stone Age. As long as it's a big and secure tech company, very likely it will be fine over the long run. Be patient
Alfwee : believe in the fundamentals...I agree on your strategy
Dragon Fish Alfwee : Fundamental good? Main profit is still from the power generation segment mostly from Spore. The other 2 segments water & sewage and the worst one Telecommunication segment still incur losses in the last QR. Still with more than 31bil debt. Even have 8.7 bil cash with 8 bil put in FD but unable to issue decent dividend with miserable about 6sen only. Base on current price 6/4.70 is only 1.3% per annum.
Alfwee : true,as of now.the business of data centres have yet to bear fruit.
Dragon Fish Alfwee : Dont think to highly about Data Centre business can generate fantastic return yet. There are too many big players enter Msia to do the business Data Centre business. Who are the winner not known yet. Every tom dick or harry also enter the same trade. If YTLP can get more customer like SEA then talk ok.
PokaiTrader : For me small capital base, looking at etfs as possible vehicles to broaden basket of investment. Using etf means no need trade each individual stock, let the fund do it for a fee. DYOR $MY-MOMETF (0836EA.MY)$ $EQ8MY25 (0821EA.MY)$Then periodically whenever feel market is getting hot, like this month, sell a bit with intention to buy back once it gets going again.Started few years back with mutual funds, all but abandon them...sucking fees high up to 2%. Be careful Malaysian ETFs also have expensive fees, even if they simply passive replicate index.
