Looking back at 2023 & thinking ahead of 2024
1. What is your investment plan and outcome for 2023?
My plan mostly consist of the following:
My plan mostly consist of the following:
$CSOP USD Money Market Fund (SGXZ96797238.MF)$ to park idle USD while waiting for opportunities and earn back some fees
$LionGlobal SGD Enhanced Liquidity Fund (SG9999019293.MF)$ to diversify and try out the fund with %yield fund coupons
With the above 3 funds as my core I can get stable daily returns while I go for tactical plays when the opportunities arises
$GameStop (GME.US)$ because I like the stock🐈
Tactical plays may include trading the usual tech&EV stocks for some exciting roller coaster rides
Outcome is thankfully positive so now I order my caipng with fish
2. Which investment sector gave you the most satisfaction? Do you have a particular fund in mind?
Money market funds definitely gave me the most satisfaction. After doing some research on MMF, it was the first fund that I invested in because the risk seems to be low with relatively good returns. Fullerton SGD fund is definitely the one that comes to mind throughout the year
3. What's your outlook for 2024? What is your fund investment plan for 2024?
Unfortunately I do not have a magic 8 ball & with so much uncertainties which are out of my control I shall pray for the best and leave the market predictions to the financial experts and then make adjustments accordingly
4. Are there any specific sectors that you are bullish on?Which fund themes do you think have the most potential for growth?

I'm bullish on tech sectors so I might take a look into tech related funds since there always seems to be room for growth in new emerging technologies
Also keeping an eye out for the new Moomoo & Fullerton collaboration fund with enhanced liquidity of T+0 settlement
Cheers to 2023 & hope 2024 will be another good one

小trader : You sure have lot of interest in the MM funds! Even in 2024? If the interest rate were to drop?
mr_cashcow OP 小trader : Yes for now tentatively still mostly mmf but I'm looking into other divendend funds and tech funds as well as the interest rate will probably drop next year
summer66 : hello, lionglobal sgd enhanced liquidity fund seems to yield a higher return than Fullerton SGD cash fund. Can you advise if I should transfer from Fullerton over to lionglobal?
mr_cashcow OP summer66 : Yeah I also notice lionglobal enhance liquidity fund returns seems to be doing very well, perhaps it have something to do with maribank/invest
If you are still on 6.8% then maybe shouldn't change, u also missed the boat on mari invest where they had bonus units promo which includes this fund too if I remember correctly so my fund returns there is doing pretty well
summer66 : I saw a screenshot with some negative returns though, in the fund's forum. A bit worried.
mr_cashcow OP summer66 : Yeah but short term wise at least for now no negatives but next month they are increasing fees for mari invest and people are saying we might start seeing more negatives as they draw higher fees from the returns
summer66 : oh....mmmmm.....
mr_cashcow OP summer66 : So yeah hard to time tbh, it depends a bit on luck too! Just don't blindly follow & always DYOR/DD
summer66 : thanks for the input
mr_cashcow OP summer66 : Np, maybe try diversifying too, don't put all in a single basket. Split into a few pots that way you won't miss out
