lost in banana plantation

many years ago, went to a friend's house which is surrounded by banana plants in the evening. By the time we were about to leave the house, it was already past midnight. From the house to the main road it should take not more than 10 minutes by bike. However, after an hour, we were still unable to exit from the small trail to the main road. I realised from what old generation mentioned that this phenomenon was called as " ghost blind your eyes" (鬼遮眼）. And 1 of us suggested chanting the Buddhist sutra while trying to look for the main road and it works. we were told by the neighbours that the areas always happen especially during the full moon, and we were lucky enough to exit from there.
