Lucid meanwhile simply started way too late to ever be viable. The only thing they're good for is a buyout candidate for one of the other automakers interested in their EV tech.
A big part of why Tesla was successful was because no one else was taking EV seriously, so they had time to figure out how to make it work and build up their production line. But after Tesla proved there's demand for EV's and they can be made profitably it left the other EV startups with very limited time to scale up their production and become profitable if they want to survive.
