LUNR questions
I'm considering investing in this company short-term. My question is how do you put a lander on the moon and only have 10M revenue in a qtr? Either their numbers are off or NASA have a bucket in the cookie jar!

mizmo : elon's a part of it too and he's got some cake
5ime_ : haha it's very expensive just to make sure, test the tech, and pay workers. just look at the government spending for NASA (last few years), or so i assume that's why.
Awry : This is the first successful mission & they get contracts and NASA has funding for these types of companies. It is a new commercializing market, similar to SpaceX starting to sent satellites for government
73806931 : once they announce it they'll get paid by nasa and it will be on the next earnings report as will the guidance for future missions from nasa
MikeyMikeMike : You should look into the company and who owns it. The CEO is also the former NASA Director. I could go on, but it's probably better if you do your own DD for full understanding.
MonkeyGee OP mizmo : no way. Did he just invest or is he part of the company?
MonkeyGee OP 5ime_ : I know but 12M is gross revenue. I'm assuming it's related to consulting service or do they own the lander?
MonkeyGee OP Awry : I agree. It is an incredible accomplishment when no one has landed on the moon for over 50 years. Plus, your competitors have a rocket that looks like something you need to cover up, and it can barely leave the atmosphere. Hope it's not 25M in filming Revenue (Laugh like crazy)
MonkeyGee OP 73806931 : and they typically get a big bonus for making a milestone.
MonkeyGee OP MikeyMikeMike : so, all that means to me is that they will get majority of future projects even if it's a secret bidding
