If u are holding long term, reits will outperform. Dont have to worry about short term fluctuations. Many companies earnings sure drop due to high interest rate environment and business challenges, not just reits alone. Mapletree Log Trust has diversified geographical earnings, not dependent on China for a living. US upcoming rate cut will help to lower finance costs next year which in turn will pull up the earnings. China has started to cut interesr rates which will definitely help to support and push up its economy and property market. This will be beneficial for Mapletree Log with business there.

Deep Sea OP : Good to accumulate to hold for dividends and long term price appreciation. It’s better than buying US stocks that are crashing now. Big bubble waiting to burst.
1M65 : indeed well said. Reits & Business Trust rely heavily on borrowings to grow their DPU. Once FED drops it's interest rates, these borrowing interest rates will decrease.
In turn, it will be beneficial to these group (reits & trust)

ZnWC : I think those who hold this stock for a long term have received dividends to offset the book value loss. If you are thinking of a swing trade, REIT stock is not a good choice.
