Dow Jones up 0.24%, S&P 500 up 1.58%, Nasdaq up 2.64%.
Bonds:
US 10-year Treasury yield fell 10 basis points to a new daily low of 4.0392%, down 35.31 basis points in July. The 2-year Treasury yield fell 8.87 basis points to 4.2698%, down 48.36 basis points in July.
Commodities:
WTI September crude oil futures rose $3.18, or 4.26%, to $77.91 per barrel, down 4.45% in July. Brent October crude oil futures rose $2.65, or 3.39%, to $80.72 per barrel, down 6.58% in July. Spot gold rose 1.52% to $2447.52 per ounce, up 5.20% in July, the largest monthly gain since March. Spot silver rose 2.19% to $29.0065 per ounce, down about 0.30% in July. LME base metals surged, with tin rising nearly 4.5% and copper, aluminum, and nickel each rising about 3%.
