Market Recap

U.S. Stocks:
The Dow rose 1.64%, up 0.75% for the week; the S&P 500 gained 1.11%, and the Nasdaq increased 1.03%, with weekly declines of 0.83% and 2.08%, respectively.

Bonds:
By the end of the trading day, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was around 4.19%, down about 5 basis points for the day and week. The 2-year yield was around 4.38%, down about 5 basis points for the day and 13 basis points for the week.

Commodities:
WTI August crude futures fell about 1.4% to $77.16/barrel, down nearly 1.9% for the week. Brent September crude futures fell 1.5% to $81.13/barrel, down about 1.8% for the week. COMEX August gold futures rose 1.17% to $2,381/oz, down nearly 0.8% for the week. COMEX September silver futures rose 0.16% to $28.02/oz, down nearly 4.4% for the week. LME aluminum rose nearly 2%, copper fell about 0.1%, with base metals broadly declining for the week. Tin fell nearly 5%, and zinc fell nearly 4%.
