I'm Canadian and I've seen a few former presidents pass, but this is the first time im seeing a day of remembrance for one. did I just miss days for Bush senior, Ford, and Regan over the years? or is this a new thing in America to remember former leaders? don't get me wrong I like the idea I just don't remember it in the past

I'm 35 so I was young at the time the last few passed, I was just probably not well informed at that time to world markets and politics. I appreciate the response, it makes sense it would be tradition. like I said, Canadian so I appreciate the info for the future
