The mass media is reporting as if Google has discovered a new continent.
Google:
- Superconductivity cannot scale.
- 2-gate fidelity 99.7%~99.8% (most quantum bits do not function and are used for error mitigation, moreover, this is a laboratory figure, lower than non-error corrected IONQ.)
- Average of four directions connection
- It will take 5 years for commercial applications to emerge.
IONQ:
- Easily scalable
Commercial quantum computers exceed 99.9%.
IonQ is fully connected in all directions.
Commercial quantum OS and full-stack applications were announced last month (see figure).
