Max got his name from his parents because they believe Max will live life to the max! ![]()
Indeed, Max is an ambitious person ![]()
who wishes to retire young retire rich, through the FIRE movement.
Max is a slightly above average boy in his studies, loves to play video games ๐ฎ, mixes around with his friends for game nights and has a dream to be rich! ๐ฐ
Max loves the instrument of money! ![]()

when he had learnt about Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger when his dad was watching ABC on TV, he was intrigued about the world of investing! ![]()
When he was young and started watching the television ๐บ, he learnt about tycoons of tech such Bill Gates ๐ฅ of $Microsoft (MSFT.US)$ , Jeff Bezos ๐ $Amazon (AMZN.US)$ , Steve Jobs ๐ฑof $Apple (AAPL.US)$ and Elon Musk ๐ of $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ throughout the years made loads of growth in the business. Knowing he himself loves gadgets ![]()
, there on, he started to believe that Tech is the way forward towards investing in the long term as It aligns well with $Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC.US)$ and $S&P 500 Index (.SPX.US)$
Along his journey of investing, he made decent and small profits. Focusing all on tech. As he grow older, he realised that tech is voilatile. He remembered his father made losses during the 1997 ๐ด![]()
Asian financial crisis, 2000 ๐๐ฅ dot com bubble and he himself faced the problems of subprime bubble ๐๐ of 2008 and the pandemic of 2019 ๐ฆ ![]()

All that stories of crisis about bubbles ๐ซงthat about to pop ๐พ at anytime soon. He tell himself, there must be a way to make money and protect myself!
Therefore, he starts to learn about options even before it was launched. So he went on with his university ๐ with his study mates to learn about finance. Although he is from a engineering background, for the believe of high income career, he wishes to learn about financial engineering and mixed around with finance students and took up finance as an elective.
His lecturer told him there is a way to reduce risk. Is either to take profits, short the market or to buy a contract to protect himself. Thus, he learn about options contract. ๐
Along the way, he realised he made his investments are safe and secured. He also learnt that to get his returns, he got to take higher risk!
The story continues here.... As we go along the journey. Max is now discovering how he could balance maximising returns and minimising risk!
