May JOLTS Job Openings Exceed Expectations
The U.S. May JOLTS job openings came in at 8.14 million, beating the expected 7.95 million.
The April figure was revised down from 8.059 million to 7.92 million.
Government job openings led the increase, and voluntary quits slightly rebounded but remained relatively low.
Analysts suggest that the slowdown in labor market demand in the U.S. is gradual and steady.
