At 0535 GMT, Nestle (Malaysia) has won a higher ESG score from Maybank IB for its efforts to reduce carbon footprint. Jade Tam said that the latest report of this food and beverage company indicates that it has made further progress in emissions reduction. She pointed out that the total emissions of scopes 1, 2, and 3 (covering the entire value chain of a company) have decreased by 46% since 2021, and all its manufacturing facilities have transitioned to 100% cecep solar energy and hydropower. Tam also added that Nestle excels in sustainable development data transparency and is reviewing its progress towards achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
