Medical, bio-related.

I won't go into much detail about my career, but I graduated from a university (majoring in law, politics, and economics), and then joined a Japanese pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturer. After over 10 years, I had some thoughts and was invited to join a competing foreign company. (It may seem like betrayal, but...)
When I transferred to that manufacturer, I felt how foreign (USA) medical companies are so privileged and free.
Are you living vibrantly? On the contrary, are you bursting with energy?
I was in a sales role, so I also have memories of feeling puzzled by the differences in corporate culture.
The irreplaceable life of people,
Along with that, the family of that person,
With the desire to contribute to the health of each group, I initially joined a domestic manufacturer, and have since been working in medical companies.
However, in Japan, the approval time for new drugs or the latest medical devices is unbelievably long.
For example, even the heart pacemakers available in Japan are products from about two generations ago.
Is the approval process for pharmaceuticals and medical devices in Japan bad?
Or is it due to political reasons? I don't know...
(Actually, I know...)
I think it is necessary to make changes in this area too.
I believe I will succeed in the medical industry. There is only a little time left, and I have also held a certain position. I have advised and guided the teammates and subordinates who misunderstood like the above and they have accepted it.
However, I feel regret and disillusionment that despite always raising issues regarding the above-mentioned events, there has been no significant change.
What I couldn't change while I was still an active generation...
That's why I have expectations for politics and industry.
We expect the stock price to follow later. Not speculative...

  • ごとくん : I don't quite understand why the approval is slow, is it to protect vested interests?[undefined]

  • miracle mantarou OP ごとくん : To explain in detail would be endless, but to put it briefly, in the case of pharmaceuticals as well as high-function medical devices, the process and journey to approval, the way data is collected including basic tests and clinical trials, rules, and the complex and mysterious nature of it all, lead to significant time being required for approval at each stage, with elements such as revisions in some cases. Additionally, the review process also takes time. Meanwhile, pharmaceuticals and medical devices approved overseas are often introduced to the market in Japan before receiving approval domestically. Therefore, Japanese manufacturers also have movements to seek early approval overseas. Although it has taken time due to bureaucratic procedures since ancient times, it is also understood that the issue of drug-induced AIDS has accelerated the process.
