Merc-Benz & BYD EV burns down while charging/ Xpeng EV burns and explodes🔥
$BYD COMPANY (01211.HK)$ $XPeng (XPEV.US)$ The 3 articles are reported between September and December 2023 that Merc-Benz, BYD and Xpeng EV caught fire and exploded. All the 3 incidents happened during charging or driving at low speed (Xpeng EV burning was caught by a surveillance camera).
I put the three together to compare because Merc-Benz EV burning was wildly circulated and was commented that "the brand is less mature than chinese EV". Beware of such bias post and comment with sole intention is to spread FUD against Merc-Benz EV.
Actually EV burning news is more common than expected across all EV brands. It may be caused by many reasons like battery design issues, driver's fault or charging point issues.
