Merdeka Bersama MooFest Recap: Moomoo Malaysia's Epic Financial Festival Brought Together 3,000 Local Investors

(Moomoo Malaysia) wrapped up its inaugural Merdeka Bersama Moofest, an empowering three-day event dedicated to boosting financial literacy, in Kuala Lumpur on 15 September. Supported by Bursa Malaysia, the event drew the participation of 3,000 local investors, which reflects moomoo’s ongoing commitment to transforming investors experience and access to financial markets, and helping Malaysians build financial independence through innovative technology.

Moomoo Malaysia also announced its strategic expansion of investment products that will provide Malaysian investors with new opportunities to diversify their portfolios and access some of the world’s largest and most dynamic financial markets.

The three-day MooFest gathered an exciting line-up of speakers, including guests from Bursa Malaysia and seasoned investment experts. From panel discussions to inspiring keynotes, experts discussed the latest investment trends shaping the local and global financial landscape and shared insights into a variety of topics including tech-powered investment tools and portfolio diversification.

Moomoo Malaysia has received overwhelming support and enthusiasm from local investors since its inception. In an announcement during the event, Moomoo Malaysia revealed its plans to be the first to launch US Options in Malaysia. The platform will also be offering Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) trading soon, further expanding its range of investment products.

One of the key highlights of the MooFest was the release of Moomoo Malaysia’s 2024 Investor Sentiment Survey, which revealed that over 60% of Malaysian investors prefer buying stocks during market dips as their primary portfolio strategy, indicating a growing trend of investors viewing market downturns as opportunities rather than threats.
