Ming-Chi Kuo: $Apple(AAPL.US$ From my observations and personal experience, many people buy the Vision Pro and stop using it after just a few tries. If this is a common user case, simply creating a downgraded version with a more affordable price won't solve the problem.
AVP shipment estimation this year is currently 400-450k units.
The global TV market is about 200mn units annually. High-end TV shipments (priced above $3,000) are between 3-5mn units (please let me know if this needs to be corrected; I'm not a TV expert).
Although AVP supports relatively limited content, it must also consider core fans, heavy users, and early enthusiasts in Apple's massive user base (total of 2.2b active devices), which should benefit shipments. So, if AVP is a good alternative for high-end TV products, at least this year's shipments should easily exceed 1mn units. But this is not the case.
