๐ฉโ๐ป ๐ Mining In Motion: First UK Pension Fund Invests in Bitcoin
The first UK-based pension fund has allocated 3% of its ยฃ50 million ($65 million) assets directly into Bitcoin, guided by British pension specialist Cartwright. To ensure security, the fund's private key is split across five independent institutions.
This investment is compared to other pension funds globally, such as the Wisconsin pension fund in the U.S., which allocated just 0.1% of its assets to Bitcoin via ETFs.
Additionally, Cartwright is introducing a Bitcoin Employee Benefits scheme, enabling employers to directly pay Bitcoin into staff wallets. Five companies have already shown interest in this product.
