Last night (September 1st) around 10:00 pm, a private Tesla car was traveling along the Ping Ling Road towards Kowloon. When it passed Kowloon Hang opposite to each other, the 38-year-old driver surnamed Zhang found that the vehicle suddenly malfunctioned. He then drove the car to the bus transfer station on the Ping Ling Road and stopped. The bottom of the car immediately emitted thick smoke and caught fire. The 4 people in the car, including the driver's wife, son, and female friend, hurriedly got out of the car to escape. The fire department arrived at the scene and sprayed water to cool down. No one was injured in the incident.

The driver reported that the vehicle had been hit by stones under the car. The fire department is investigating the cause of the accident.
It is reported that the Tesla involved was purchased in March this year. When the incident happened, it was driving to the Kowloon Hang petrol station. The driver found stones on the road and was unable to avoid them, resulting in the stones hitting the bottom of the car. Subsequently, warning lights inside the car lit up, suspecting that the battery had been damaged by the stones.
