2. Supported Orders: Only limited orders are supported during extended hours to protect against volatility. And market orders are not applicable for extended hours of trading.
3. The night market only offers limited orders with same-day effect and does not support short selling.
4. Considerations: Be aware of potential higher volatility and wider spreads during extended hours.
5. Ensure your trades align with the Fortis risk control standards to avoid rejections due to price deviations or stock availability issues.
6. Compared to the regular trading session of US stocks, stock prices may be more volatile during the night, pre, and post extended hours trading sessions , and quotes may be significantly higher or lower than the opening or closing prices during the regular trading session; some stocks may have lower liquidity and orders may be partially filled or even unfilled. Additionally, during extended sessions, there are wider bid/ask spreads, and less market visibility. Trading outside of regular market hours may not be appropriate for all investors.
1. What are the transaction fees during the pre-market, after-market and overnight session?
There are no extra fees for trading during the overnight session. Refer to the link for pricing on moomoo.
2. How does overnight trading work?
Moomoo provides the overnight session via Blueocean, a registered broker-dealer and a member of FINRA and SIPC who operates an alternative trading system ("ATS").
On moomoo, you can trade the overnight session that is otherwise often only available for certain brokers, hedge funds and other financial institutions worldwide.
3. What order types are available during the overnight session?
Only limit orders can be placed during the overnight session. Overnight orders will expire automatically at the end of the overnight session.
In addition, overnight orders can only be placed during the hours of an overnight session.
