MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])

Good morning to you and good morning to the Market!
YOU GUYS ARE CRUSHING IT!
28 LIKES, 11 SHARES AND 72,000 VIEWS IN UNDER 24 HOURS
That is crazy! I am incredibly grateful for all of the support. As my page continues to grow larger and larger, I will always make sure to mention my gratitude for you all, no matter how influential we get. What a journey it's been so far and it's been awesome to have you all here as we continue to move to the upside within MooMoo! Haha
Remember, the 50 likes challenge is still ongoing! If this post gets 50 likes
I will post the Screeners for you all! I might not be able to post them immedietly as I am still working on them and want them to be refined up to a solid standard which I find share-worthy, however rest assured you will get them.
It should also be mentioned that MooMoo plans to eventually discontinue the current UI and attempt to fully move over to MooMoo NX. This will mean I have to take my screener(s) settings and translate them to the whole new platform, which at a first glance will be more difficult than expected.
With that said, let's talk about the new MooMoo Desktop NX!
In today's article I am going to break it down into the following sections:
(Let me know if you would like a video tutorial as well in the comments or by dropping a like!)
1. How To Download MooMoo NX
2. My Unbaised Initial Thoughts (Features I love, like, and don't like)
3. My Global Chart Settings
4. My Options Chart Settings
5. My Overall Unbaised Thoughts
6. My Suggestions For MooMoo
Let's begin!
Section1: How To Download MooMoo NX
Downloading MooMoo NX is a very simple process.

Simple!
Section 2: My Unbaised Initial Thoughts
Right off the bat, there are a couple things that I love and some that I don't. Remember, this section is completely my opinion. I understand that most of you may not agree with what I say, and that is 110% okay with me!
What I love:
1. The huge chart
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
As most of you know, charting is what I do the most of. Having a large chart right from the start is something that I need inorder to better see where the markets at, find forming structures, and so much more.
2. The pre-built in Tick quotes
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
I appreciate how MooMoo setup the new Tick Quotes by themselves. In the current version they are squeezed next to to the Trade Stats feature. Now trade stats is useful don't get me wrong as it helps find the POC (point of control) or where the most volume is traded, however I personally use the Tick Quotes a whole lot more for volumetric tape reading. I will talk more about reading the tape in another article.
What I like:
1. News Filtering
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
I actually REALLY like how you can now filter for news by date! This is INCREDIBLY important if you want to find news about earnings, company events, or other economic events / reports that have happened a while ago and have since been flooded by other news that came out after that day.
2. Announcement Filtering
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
Another really smart feature MooMoo has implimented is the Announcement Filtering. Here you can easily find different events, earnings releases, change in benificial ownership of securities or other shareholding events, transactions like if insiders are buying or selling, and more. This can absolutely help when researching a stock to see if it is undervalued or if ratings agencies are downgrading the stock before you enter a position.
3. Chart Flow
As some of you might know, the flow of the chart in the current MooMoo UI is HORRENDOUS. I have searched far and wide for a solution for the snapping charts, however I could not find any. The automatic FOV is incredibly useless and is one of the biggest reasons why I use TradingView over MooMoo charts. Furthermore, MooMoo defaulted the right mouse button as the way to toggle within the charts? These features make it incredibly difficult to do any sort of charting using MooMoo. The new UI is far better in this aspect as it is seamless and gives more respect to the candles rather than trying to auto-guess where on the chart you are looking at.
What I don't like:
1. Watchlist Options Chain
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
I don't like how the options chain is in a seperate section from the chart. One of the key features I love about MooMoo is the ability to watch the chart and the options chain at once.
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
It is absolutely key for when I am in a position to be able to view the options chain and the chart at the same time. If I see a reversal structure on the chart, I can quickly enter an ITM or OTM position based on where the price is at and the current formation the stock is making from the charts. Not being able to see both at once hurts my ability to trade options quickly.
I know they did this feature so there is a bigger chart on the watchlist page which I love, however if MooMoo can find a way to re-incoperate the ability to view the options chain and the charts at the same time I think that would greatly improve the UI and user experience.
2. WeBull Lookalike (hot take)
As some of you know, in my 1000 Follower special, I mentioned why I chose to use MooMoo over other brokerages such as RobinHood and especially WeBull. This is because I love the robust feeling of the software.
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
In other words, I love how much data there is on one page. The whole minimalistic trading platform feels cheap to me and trying too hard to be slick rather than informative.
I compared the MooMoo UI to the Bloomberg Terminal in the way that there is minimal consideration for design, but total consideration for data and information.
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
MooMoo's choice to create a platform that looks minimalistic and stylish is not one I am a fan of. I think too many brokerages are trying to make it seem fancy, when in reality all that matters is how much relevant and relatable data on one screen you can view at a time is the most important, to me at least.
So as for the new "soft on the edges" UI design, I think MooMoo is headed in the wrong direction. The current design sets it apart from other brokerages and one of the core reasons why I even choose MooMoo in the first place.
3. Watchlist Folders
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
This is sort of a lighter take, however in the current UI I like how I am able to quickly toggle between my watchlist folders which I have neatly organized for different purposes. However, here on MooMoo NX, all my of my folders are bundled together in a drop down menu. I know all I need to do is click a button and select which of the folders I want to view, but on the old Design I can toggle between the folders a lot faster as all I need to do is click the dropdown carrot and the Menu stays the same until I untggle it.

Section 3: My Global Chart Settings
One of the most important feature I look for in any brokerage is for the ability to view multiple charts at a single time. On the current version of MooMoo, that feature looks like this

You can read how I set this up in my previous tutorial here
Now let's make it on MooMoo NX
1). Click "Custom" at the left-hand side

2. Select "Blank Tab"

3. Select "Chart"

7. Number the charts so each of them acts as their own entity

8. Do the same for all 6 charts. So numbers 1 - 6

Section 4: My Options Chart Settings

This is the current Unusual Options page I am using on MooMoo NX. I cannot go into full detail about the settings I have chosen as it is apart of the 50 likes challenge! However I will tell you what I used from the Widget Adder.

Unfortunately I cannot upload more than one video per post, however I will do a second post after this one of my Options Assessment Viewer setup. If this post gets 15 likes I will upload it for everyone instead of a For Followers Only post!
Part 6: My Suggestions For MooMoo
Overall, I am very impressed by MooMoo. I think the newly added niche features are A+++ additions and set MooMoo in the right path.
Although I am sad that the robust feeling of such a great platform will soon go away, that's not to say I can't just recreate it in the custom design settings like so:
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
Under ticks I would put information about my portfolio, maybe Positions or another account chart.
There are a couple quick suggestions I would make off the bat:
1. Add a way to view the options chain at once for users who are unfamiliar with custom settings
2. Maybe try out community based indicators
3. In custom settings, make a way to toggle off the Snap feature of the utilities. This feature exists in the current version of MooMoo and it would be great to have it back
4. For the Options Screener, add a Filter option for Order Size, not only Bid and Ask size
MooMoo NX Beta Charting Setup (My Initial Thoughts + Tutorial + Multiple Configurations [Options / Stocks])
5. Add a way to choose whether or not to have Watchlist folders as a dropdown as it is right now in MooMoo NX or as a toggable feature like it is in the current MooMoo UI.
6. Add a separate toolbar for Crypto

Other than that, from this overview I really like MooMoo NX! Let me know what you think by leaving a comment or by sending me a message! Your feedback matters and I will let MooMoo know!
Conclusion
Thank you for reading and all of the support! I hope I was able to explain the different features of MooMoo NX, my likes and dislikes, as well as how to create custom charts and tools.
Today's 15 likes challenge is light, but the 50 likes challenge is still achievable!
At the time of writing: There is no profile page in MooMoo NX, or AI Screener among other things. I expect those features to come over at the release of the full version. MooMoo also does not support Crypto trading, however you can add crypto charts to the custom viewer.
I hope you all enjoy your day in markets
