MooMoo SG VS MooMoo US
Have you ever wondered MooMoo SG or MooMoo US are there any difference when we trade US Stocks & Options? Does it matter? Let’s Have a Faceoff MooMoo Style .
As a Casual Investor of Stocks and Options, I’m just as curious and thus sharing my point of view using simple comparisons between Trades Buying / Selling 1 Stock. And Buy/Sell 1 Option Contract.
MooMoo SG: Strong winner 🏆 for Stock Trades. 0% Commission. Although there is a 9% Consumption Tax (GST)
MooMoo US: Winner for Options trading. Platform fees of 0.3 for 1 option contract. Contract Fees 0.65. MooMoo SG has higher Platform fee due to the flat rate. Option Settlement Fees and Consumption Tax made the cost much higher.
Summary, a simple comparison showing If your a options trader the fees does make a difference when its 45% higher at MooMoo SG.
I might just consider using my US account for options trading since the fees are much lower. And when there is no more options trading coupons to buffer the cost. Especially since I trade mainly US stocks and options for $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ , $Alphabet-C (GOOG.US)$ , $Apple (AAPL.US)$ & $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ . Now with monthly 70 dollars options coupon promo at MooMoo SG its still acceptable as its a hassle to manage 2 accounts too.
Gives some thought on how we can save more by lowering the costs to trade too.
For some context, recently gotten my MooMoo US account opened as I’m curious on whats the difference. While experimenting on any additional costs when I transfer USD from my bank 🏦 to MooMoo US and vice versa.
For those that wants to calculate using more quantities can refer to the compiled list 👇. I’ve used a simple 1 Stock/Option to give a simple illustration.
Another Benefit of using MooMoo US, you have the available to buy US IPOs which are not available in MooMoo SG. Still exploring the difference and will post more on this for those interested to know more.

Ultratech : exchange wise us is more well rounded and sg trades more sideways
CasualInvestor OP Ultratech : Note it’s just fees difference for buying the same US stocks. I used buying $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ 1 Stock / 1 Option as my examples.
Ultratech CasualInvestor OP : ya I'm not into options like that someone who only does options probably give better answer
