Mr. Softy in the mid 90's.

I was at the University of Houston . I had a used Buick Park Avenue was my first car that I financed on my own.

I was rear-ended and my car hit the car that was also stopped at a red light in front of me. So he hit me pretty good. it had bent the underneath frame which for insurance purposes it was totaled. it was ugly but I was able to drive home after the wreck. For the wreck the insuance paid me 2/3rds the value of the totaled car and I was allowed to keep the car which was still street legal. I think I got about 2400 dollars plus 300 for a sire back. I took the 2400 put it in Microsoft. I watched it go straight up thru college I graduated in 97' and sold before the .com bust. so I had significant gains after having watched Mr. Softy snowball into a nice pile of profits.

I was hooked on stocks from thereafter.
