Mr. Yellen defended, President Biden was “extremely sharp” at the meeting
US Treasury Secretary Yellen was questioned about the mental side of President Biden in her congressional testimony on the 9th, and at the long meeting they attended together, Mr. Biden stated that he was “extremely sharp,” and defended the president.
In her testimony at the House Financial Services Committee, Mr. Yellen said, “At the meetings we have attended together so far, Mr. Biden is extremely sensitive,” and continued that this “includes many international meetings spanning several hours” with Chinese President Xi Jinping and the leaders of each country.
The person who asked him the question was Republican Congressman Lawler (New York State). Mr. Yellen was asked if President Biden had recognized signs of mental or cognitive decline until now. According to Mr. Yellen, there have been no discussions among cabinet members regarding the invocation of the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution regarding the possibility of presidential dismissal due to disability.
