[25th Reuters] - US electric vehicle (EV) giant Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk (CEO) revealed on X on the 25th that he will discuss investments on the scale of 5 billion dollars in the artificial intelligence (AI) startup company Xai led by himself with Tesla directors.
On the 23rd, Mr. Musk began voting at X questioning whether Tesla should invest 5 billion dollars in Xai. Approximately 68% of respondents answered that they should invest, and they stated that “public opinion seems to agree.”
Tesla aims to strengthen efforts to accelerate the development of autonomous driving taxis “robotaxis” and products related to autonomous driving.
