My first experience - put option assigned

I've been quite fascinated with the option game since Oct and have dabbled into it ever since. More and more, I see the viability of it as another income stream for me, but i have not gone in in a big way just yet.  I need more experience. But just as a topline learning, I think I'll only be comfortable playing with stocks or derivatives I'm very familiar with,  not opportunistically jumping into anything shiny.

Yesterday, I had my first experience of being assigned and also first experience of a margin call, as well as understanding the concept of it (well, not entirely, though).
