My First Year Investment Journey as a University Student
Last year December, I've decided to step outside of my comfort zone and do a custom portfolio instead of templates provided by StashAway. Here, I created my own custom ETF Portfolio with the following allocation:
[ESGU: 25%, IVV: 29%, QQQ: 25%, IHYU: 10%, GLD, 10%]
Here's my strategy (DCA, Buy in Dips)
DCA small amounts twice a month (1st & 16th), as well as buying at major dips, I do not invest in a larger sums unless there's a major dip. I also save up some extra money from my monthly budgeting for moments like these.
Here's my new plans/hopes for 2025
Firstly, I'm gonna transfer this portfolio to MooMoo cause StashAway still charges a portfolio management fee. Secondly, I'm gonna change the allocations to just 4 ETFs, a more stable bonds etf as well as removing the higher management fee ESGU ETF.

When I have additional income, I hope to invest more in ETF and REITs in the MY market like $FBMKLCI-EA (0820EA.MY)$ and $SUNREIT (5176.MY)$.
