My Last UPDATE, Dec 15, 2024

All things must end. It has been a long time since I have done any update, so it may seem odd to make one last update after such a long break. I have over 40 written incomplete Updates that I never got to post. I have a blockage with completing them...

On one of my last posts, I explained why I was ending. I said the path was set, Powell had chosen -

In that post i highlighted some stocks (tesla) that did quite well. But that cycle has ended for me. iam more concerned with my Astral posts. That is why this will be my last update.

We need to talk, the QQQ reached and surpassed my target of 525. And that leads to - interest rates: I will use yields, I know there are other considerations, but just as a generality, i will use yields as rates since they correlate.

it's even more nefarious than that breakout. It broke the weekly trend. That's just a chart, so what does it mean? When yields go up, the value of all the previous bonds goes down. So when you see this chart, everyone holding below the top is a loser (that's nearly everyone)

The FED has their rate decision on Wednesday the 18th. I and the markets expect them to cut ✂️. If they do anything other than cut, the market will not react well. It will throw a tantrum and a fit like a little unruly child. The market is addicted to cheap money. It's known nothing but for 20 years. It's learned that the fed will always choose to throw money at it. But times, they are a changing.

All of the rates are going up before the fed decision.

The treasury auctions were terrible (everyone is trying to sell bonds), so when the treasury goes to sell, the market is saturated, and this causes yields to rise. But why are they rising? Easy answer and always my answer is - because the charts say so. But here is the reason the "news" will give

inflation is picking up, and so are jobless claims and unemployment. In other words, exactly what I said in all my posts, the fed is trapped. If they lower rates, they will set off already rising inflation, but if they don't, the already struggling economy will crater. pick your poison. The fed will choose to do both. they will continue fueling inflation by lowering rates, and the economy will still deteriorate.

The markets were on full speed ahead from powells announced pause in raising rates. If he announces a pause in lowering rates, that would be my signal to look for the exits.

bearish divergences on the larger time frames, weekly monthly meaning i expect a large pullback soon (my soon is relative 😄 I don't like time frames i expect to live a long time, 3 months would be soon, tomorrow would also be soon)

That does not mean to short or sell everything, or buy for that matter. Price is still above the 5MA and squeezing up. Why mess with it if you don't need to. I'm only suggesting there are issues that the market has been ignoring. Eventually, these come up and the market corrects.

The qqq is getting a little far from the moving averages again. And its making this move without high yield growth

Strange things are afoot with the markets, be weary.
