MY Market Watchtower | HYM Chairman Rises as the Largest Shareholder IMPIANA's Price Rises Sharply
HYM Group Chairman Dato' Sri Lee Fu-sung emerged as the chairman of HYM Group on Monday $MAGMA(7243.MY$After being the largest shareholder, it stimulated the stock to soar 25% to 10 cents this morning, making it one of the most popular horse stocks.
Since the beginning of the year, the stock has risen 5.6% to 9 cents on January 3 this year.
Based on 9.5 cents per share, the market capitalization was RM58 million.
The stock became one of the top 20 most popular Malaysian stocks today. A total of 35.39 million shares changed hands, nine times more than yesterday's trading volume of 3.5 million shares.
Lee Fu-shing and his wife Natinsley Fong-yin became the largest shareholders after acquiring 120 million shares or 19.9% of Impiana Hotels' shares.
He is the Chairman of HYM Group and owns and operates WOLO Kuala Lumpur and Gold3 boutique hotels located on Bukit Bintang Road.
Meanwhile, Impiana Hotels is mainly engaged in hotel and industry development business and manages its own brand hotels, including Impiana KLCC Hotel and Impiana Hotel Ipoh.
You Fengyin is the winner of Astro International's Miss Chinese in 2007 and the lead actor in the Malaysian film “I Have You All the Way”.
SCGM Chairman: I didn't buy IMPIANA
A different person with the same name! $SCGM(7247.MY$Executive Chairman Dato' Sri Lee Fu-shing clarified that he did not buy shares in IMPIANA.
In an interview, Li Fucheng clarified that the above deal had nothing to do with him and that he did not buy shares in IMPIANA. And to clarify that this is a misunderstanding, it's just a different person with the same name.
