Foreign investors maintained their net buying streak on Bursa Malaysia for the sixth consecutive week last week, with inflows amounting to RM52.7mil, according to MIDF Research. The research house noted that net buying occurred from Monday to Wednesday and foreigners shifted to net sellers by the end of the week, potentially prompted by the release of two weak economic data.“Year-to-date, foreign investors have been net sellers of domestic equities at a rate of RM2.41bil,” MIDF said in its weekly fund flow report. The top three sectors that posted net foreign inflows were property (RM165.3mil), technology (RM27.4mil), and plantation (RM23.9mil).
