My pet peeve
$Broadcom (AVGO.US)$ failed me twice during my bullish run on stock split news. Completely my fault - I was foolish. However, this is a great stock to own. It is unfortunate that the ER will be plagued by the bearish market sentiment - even if the results are good.
Apparently, a beat is no longer acceptable. Surprise factor is the kicker.
NFA, but play your options or positions based on the volume and trend today. Yesterday was not a good indicator as the entire market tanked.
