Reluctant to sell but anxious to hold 🥺
Last night’s market rally felt like a fleeting mirage 🏜️. The semiconductor sector, bless its silicon soul, even managed a 3% jump! $NVIDIA (NVDA.US)$ , my love, you rose 4% and successfully held above 100 - a small victory, but a victory nonetheless. $Tesla (TSLA.US)$ , you put on a brave face with nearly a 1% gain, but it wasn’t enough to erase the pain of the previous days. Meanwhile, my portfolio, bless its cotton socks, decided to have a little cry in the corner 😭.
The night market was a cruel reminder that even a rally can’t erase the lingering fear of another big drop. Help, I’m stuck in a holding pattern, caught between clinging to hope and the reality of potential losses. Is this a false bottom or just a momentary reprieve? Is it time to cut my losses or hold on for dear life? 🤔
Likely a case of survivor bias.
Seeing those big-ticket orders in the community this morning was like a shot of adrenaline, giving me a fleeting moment of confidence to hold on… (also sent a pang of envy right through my soul🥲)
The fear of missing out is real, but so is the fear of losing it all. Specifically, what other investment products are better to invest in during this period? Is technical analysis useful in times like these? And where should I start learning about this stuff? Any insights you can share would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Asherboy88 : Have to think long term and hold. At least break even. Once you sell at a loss it is a done deal. What happens after u sell, you buy low and it drop again. Best to hold

土方令 : Wall Street is making money here, not running a charity. If a stock is going to rise, it will often first fluctuate up and down to shake off short-term speculators before climbing steadily. This is just for reference and not investment advice. Recently the risk is really high and be cautions with your long positions

Not totally same as stock trading. One question, do you think technical analysis is useful? I've seen a lot in the community but the complex chart really overwhelms me

Rather than pick up some specific stocks to long, I want to see what stocks everyone list in their "do not block" list. Just for some reference. Then I'll add some to mine.
土方令 Trading Rockstar OP : Only focus on commonly used indicators like MA. Don't waste time on too many fancy indicators. Technical indicators are just tools to help you determine if a stock at bottom. Whether it will rebound, and how high it will rebound, only Wall Street knows.
