  • Thy GoD : Btw just wanted to say u were my original inspiration to start investing in funds.

  • I Am 102927471 :

  • SuperNoobPaPa OP Thy GoD : Oh my, I’m so touched and motivated to hear your message. Make sure you have the right temperament to Dollar Cost Averaging. It’s easy when market is on the up. But it’s not easy when the market is going down. But here is the trick, you get good & better deal when the market is down. All you need is the ability to “envision” the bad time will not forever.

What I don’t show here is my favorite fund. It has been my regular performer and never disappoint me. That fund is Allianz Income & Growth Fund. Check it out…

  • Thy GoD SuperNoobPaPa OP : yeah ik, personally I don't invest in that fund as I'm mostly in equities and not rlly fixed income

  • 103997445 IVY : I am glad i followed u 👍👍👍

  • Moopybara : Do you ‘rebalance’? Meaning if 1 fund is not doing well for half to 1 year, will u redeem and replace it will other fund? Thks

  • SuperNoobPaPa OP Moopybara : Hi, technically rebalance means add or sell if the fund or stocks deviated from the % range. I don’t do rebalancing because I invest equally every month.

I think the right sentence is switching. Yes I did switch out from laggard fund to different fund. But it only happens once in MooMoo. The way I switch is a little bit of stats and little of intuition. For instance, while China funds has been underperforming since inception, yet I stay invested because I believe in the long term Chinese growth story.

I will switch out if I find the fund underperform significantly against its peers and begin to lose faith in the fund. So far it works very well for me.

I’m a believer of long term investment.Discipline and consistent investment beats market timing.I hope I can show you..
