the drug industry in the pharmaceutical industry in the United States is heavily regulated that's one of the reasons why prices are so high compared to say Europe or other countries and that has to do with the extra level of testing for the approval process to avoid potential litigation is what it really comes down to at the end of the day. many of these companies over the years received a significant amount of money from the government to develop drugs that are used in the United States and abroad on a daily basis to keep people alive and to bring them back to health.
with any drug that's approved the drug manufacturer gets a patent which protects that proprietary drug for a period of time before generics can come in and produce them at a much lower price point.
VP Harris, has made it her agenda to go after companies that are gouging consumers those greedy grocery stores that operate on a 2% profit margin they're the ones that are screwing the middle class hard not the seven trillion that she voted for where she was the swing vote 33 times during the almost 4 years that she held a position of vice President. she made it very clear that she's going to go after companies that are gouging so it's not limited by an industry it's across the board it's government price controls is what it comes down to.
the vice president said and go find this video or I can post a link. that if she believes you're guilty of gouging as a drug manufacturer she will snatch the patents back. if you're a drug manufacturer that you utilize any government money in the development of that drug they will take away your patent. imagine Pfizer Merck go down the list all of these companies have enormous Blockbuster drugs and now they lose their ability to make profits because anybody can compete at any time.
imagine the Carnage in the stock market the cascading effect well if it happened to this company it'll probably happen to the next one just as they're going after Google and Apple and Nvidia for antitrust she made it very clear government price controls are going to be put in place when she's president
God help us if she's elected
all of the drug stocks all of the drug manufacturers their stocks will be crushed they will be marked down 20 30 40% because their future profits are non-existent.

as a follow-up I want to plant this seed. if she is ready willing and able to snatch up the patents from drug companies if they took government money at any point in time for the development of a drug.. let's parallel this to these college graduates whose loans are being forgiven despite the supreme Court saying it's illegal they're being forgiven by the Harris Biden administration tens of billions of dollars.
imagine for a moment dictator comrade Harris saying we need to get our government spending in order because the prior administrations under the Republicans created this problem and the fix is going to be a special tax that's going to come out of your earnings to rebuild the financial purse strings of this country. so everyone who received government forgiveness on their student loans you're going to have a shared sacrifice with your earnings for the next 10 20 years until we get our house in order. you see we helped you so you didn't have to pay back the loans now we're going to snatch oh I didn't say that out loud we're going to confiscate nope that's not the word either we're going to appropriate 50% of your paycheck to help the country out just as we helped you out when you needed it.
if you don't think that this could happen you don't have your eyes open. if they're going to put price controls in and she said she will and if she's going to snatch patents from drug companies and she said she will then why won't she snatch paychecks of people that took money from the government in the form of loan forgiveness.
