Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is said to have postponed Defense Minister Yoav Gallant's trip to the United States that was planned to take place tonight, Axios political reporter Barak Ravid reported on Tuesday, citing a said a source.

"We were just informed that Minister Gallant will be postponing his trip to Washington, DC. Secretary Austin looks forward to seeing him soon," the Pentagon confirmed.
Gallant was slated to meet his American counterpart Lloyd Austin on October 9 to "discuss ongoing Middle East security developments." Earlier, reports emerged that the US was concerned that Israel would attack Iran while Gallant was visiting in Washington
