New Long-term Stock Investor
I am new to investing in individual stock, and I have enjoyed learning. I have found that the most important strategies include:
1. Invest in companies with good financial fundamentals.
2. Buy the dip and dollar cost average.
3. Be patient and don't make emotional decisions ( fear of missing out or risk eversion).
4. If you find a company you think has long-term potential yet lack good financial fundamentals, investment only what you are willing to lose 😉.

70554683 : I wish you luck on your journey
Ultraboom : Interesting to see that you're a long term investor, but u have SMCI, which has a history /allegations of accounting fraud, which if you're long term / fundemental investor u shud always avoid
ToRetire OP Ultraboom : You are right, I rushed to buy the dip without researching the company. I am learning. I have decided to hold on for now.
Ultraboom ToRetire OP : As long term investor, u cut loss when ur thesis / research is wrong, no matter ur in green or red, many ppl will buy a stock on speculation or fomo, then when it goes down and they're in the red, they'll suddenly 'become' 'long term investors', but they won't sell when it comeback to breakeven, it's very important to make that distinction, there shud also never any 'rush' to buy a stock as long term investor
Nisdey : Being a long-term investor doesn't mean set-and-forget either. The recent abysmal performance of $Berkshire Hathaway-B (BRK.B.US)$ and every one of its constituent stocks since the passing of Charlie Munger shows that there has definitely been a step-change that should be taken into consideration.
Also, things like Google's antitrust cases and the continuous vagaries of Elon Musk, along with EV sentiment, competition and also plain common sense suggest that $GraniteShares 2x Short TSLA Daily ETF (TSDD.US)$ is a better long term investment than $Tesla (TSLA.US)$
ToRetire OP Ultraboom : thanks you for the information, I am glad to be a part of a community like moomoo
